Virtualization Technology

Our team has been working with virtualization technologies since 2002. After administering servers using all types (VMWare, Xen, Virtuozzo, Linux-VServer), our business goal was realized after landing on OpenVZ. Open source, fast development cycles, real interaction with the development team, and an organized codebase are the high level advantages of OpenVZ. 59Box does not use OpenVZ "out of the box" or "pre-canned" like the competition. We maintain our own internal OpenVZ/Linux kernel tree in-house and push the stable branch onto our hardware nodes. Our kernel modifications have allowed us to enforce fairness, gather statistics, log debug information, and support drivers that others cannot.
